E Catecismo Menor de Westminster
¿Cuál es el fin principal del hombre? Esta conocida pregunta es la primera pregunta del Catecismo Menor de Westminster. Con esta pregunta, se nos invita a examinar cuál es nuestro propósito primordial como seres creados por Dios. La respuesta dada, «glorificar a Dios y gozar de él para siempre», es fácil de aprender y, no obstante, contiene una profundidad insondable. Esta pregunta y su respuesta son las primeras de las 107 preguntas y respuestas que se encuentran en el Catecismo Menor de Westminster. Este fue redactado por primera vez en el año de 1647 por la Asamblea de Westminster en Londres, Inglaterra, y desde entonces ha sido un tesoro de instrucción centrada en la Biblia, enseñado y aprendido en iglesias y familias de todo el mundo.
