Article 3 of the Apostles’ Creed reads: “who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary.” These words call us to consider the incomprehensible fact of the virgin birth of Jesus. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and he was born of the Virgin Mary. Such was the manner in which Jesus came into the world.
