Rich Young Ruler, Blind Bartimaeus and Zacchaeus

View All Lessons

A rich young ruler asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. When he claims to have kept all the commandments Jesus shows him that he still loves his money more than God. He then leaves Jesus. As Jesus travels through the town of Jericho on His way to Jerusalem a blind beggar cries after Jesus and when Jesus calls him to come to Him he receives his sight.
A publican, Zacchaeus, climbs in a sycamore tree to see Jesus as He passes by, but it was God’s time to convert him. The Lord continues to teach us that grace is the free and sovereign work of God and we must be made willing to forsake all to follow Jesus.
