In these first two lectures, we’re exploring the biblical foundations for the office of Elder in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. We’ve learned that the church is Christ’s kingdom, and he is the King, and that he has ordained a government for the church in his Word. Now we will narrow our scope to consider the citizens of this kingdom, and the offices that he has ordained to serve and lead the citizens of his kingdom.
