Do you remember when God sent Jonah to Nineveh and called them to repent or be destroyed? They did repent in those days, and God spared them, but over a hundred years later, they had become more wicked than ever. They conquered Israel, then attacked Judah, though Jerusalem was spared by God’s protection. Now God sends Nahum to testify against the sins of Nineveh, and to tell of her own coming destruction.
