We learned in the last lesson how, in God’s providence, King Cyrus not only allowed, but supported the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. Now we will see how it went when they returned. They met with much opposition from the Samaritans who were left in the land. This lesson tells the story of what happened and how God caused them to overcome these problems with hard work and reliance upon God.
