The temple which Solomon built as a house for the Lord was beyond compare in many ways. Every detail was carefully planned, no effort was withheld, and the cost of the materials was without limit. Everywhere one looked at the structure, within and without, there was evidence of the glory of God. But the most important part was that God promised to dwell there if Israel would walk in God’s ways.
