David planned everything for the temple before he died. In a solemn assembly, David and his captains selected three men and their sons to play on harps, psalteries, and cymbals. This music was not arranged to entertain, but to declare God’s glory and sing his praises. David wrote many of the Psalms to be sung in praise and declaring God’s glory, and others were written later.
