How important is Justification to the doctrine of Salvation? Martin Luther, the great German Reformer, said that Justification by faith alone is the article upon which the church stands or falls. It is the battleground of the gospel. It was in Luther’s day, and it continues to be in our own day. This series of lectures in this fifth module on Systematic Theology is devoted to the study of the doctrine of Salvation. The purpose is to explore what the Bible teaches about how the Spirit applies the redemption of Christ to the individual soul of the believer. In this present lecture, we’ll consider the doctrine of Justification.
