And now we begin to see the symbolism pointing to salvation. There is only one gate—only one way into the Courtyard, only one way to God— the Lord Jesus Christ, who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father but by me.” The gate is wide and easily accessed, no matter how great the burden, no matter how great the sin—Jesus welcomes all who would come to Him and would cast no one out. Here is the beginning of salvation.
