In Classical Christian Education, students and teachers are exposed to reading pagan literature, poetry, rhetoric, and philosophy, so there is a need for discernment. But in this lecture, we also learn why and how one must incorporate this material into a good education. We will see this under three headings: A Biblical Model; A Theological Explanation; and A Pastoral Warning.
